Land Rover BAR win ‘Sport for Environment Award’ at the prestigious Beyond Sport Awards

Land Rover BAR’s mission is to win the America’s Cup whilst being the most sustainable sports team, extending our influence beyond the race course, leading the way and inspiring others to instinctively drive sustainability forward. We are #RaisingTheBAR across the whole team, rethinking the way we operate, increasing skills, developing technology and protecting our playing field, the waters we sail in, by saying no to single use plastics, installing oyster beds, bee hotels and much more at our base in Portsmouth.

Our work toward this goal was recognized by ‘The Beyond Sport Awards’ which promote, support and reward the best projects across the globe that are using sport to make positive social change.

However, the work doesn’t stop here we are committed to pushing sustainability further within sport and encouraging other sports and teams to harness the power and support of their fans to push the sustainability message around the world”.

Over the last two years, Land Rover BAR have been working closely with our Exclusive Sustainability Partner 11th Hour Racing to “Raise the BAR” and create the UK’s most sustainable sports team. Sustainability is embedded in the team and we aim to set new standards in sustainable sport.
