Sammy Hodges

Sammy’s path to this role began on a small lake outside Atlanta, Georgia, where his mother taught him and his five siblings to sail. Sailing was readily accompanied by days spent outdoors with his father, wandering, learning, and cultivating a passion for conservation. Throw in a burning curiosity for the creative arts, and you get a background groomed for the opportunity to be the Digital Communications Manager for 11th Hour Racing. 

While earning a degree in Wildlife Science from Auburn University, he coached sailing and began a photography business on the side. This led him to work in the sailing industry, which has taken him around the world as a photographer, coach, competitor, marketer, and friend. Today, he resides in Newport, Rhode Island, where he takes photos, sails, runs, and produces in a digital environment to inspire appreciation for our natural world.
