Sir Ben Ainslie spoke on sustainability at IF Forum

Last week, Sir Ben Ainslie was the keynote speaker at this year’s 11th edition of the International Sports Federations (IF) Forum, “Leading the way towards a Sustainable Agenda,” which took place in Lausanne, Switzerland.

While he is the most successful sailor in Olympic history having won five medals, including four gold, Ainslie was picked to kick off the forum to talk about his success with promoting and creating a team focused on sustainability. He gave an overview of what Land Rover BAR, the British America’s Cup team, has achieved over the past four years.

The conference was a great opportunity for all the Olympic disciplines to see how sustainability can be successfully integrated into a sports teams operations – and as the exclusive Sustainability Partner of Land Rover BAR, 11th Hour Racing is proud to see Ainslie leading the conversation.

Immediately after speaking at the conference, Ainslie penned an article for the Huffington Post where the name says it all – The water is our pitch.

“Yesterday I flew back from Lausanne where I had the opportunity to address all the Olympic disciplines on ‘Leading the way towards a Sustainable Agenda’ at the International Federation (IF) Forum. I gave an overview on what Land Rover BAR, our British America’s Cup team, have achieved over the past four years and it was great to see the International Olympic Committee dedicate a conference to everything that encompasses sustainability.” Continue reading >>
