Team 11th Hour Racing

In 2013, Hannah Jenner and Rob Windsor competed in the Transat Jacques Vabre while minimizing their environmental impact and demonstrating racing cleaner, going faster, and performing better.

To build awareness and raise the profile of environmental challenges within racing, Hannah & Rob took on 11 winning solutions to demonstrate their motto: Cleaner, Faster, Better.

In the early morning of December 11th, 2013, they crossed the finish line after battling light and flukey conditions on the approach to Itajaì, Brazil. Team 11th Hour racing completed the theoretical distance of 5,400nm in 30 days, 4 hours, 28 minutes, and 25 seconds; however, the team sailed a total distance of 6,297 with an average speed of 8.69 knots!

On arriving in Itajaì, Jenner commented, “We are proud that we didn’t quit and finished what we set out to do. It was a hard race, and yes, a couple of things did not go our way, but we persisted and would like to thank all of our supporters for their kind words; we completed our goals and sailed in a CleanerFasterBetter way!”
