Antonia Gomez
GRANT PROGRAM COORDINATOR
Antonia is the Grant Program Coordinator at 11th Hour Racing, supporting strategic grantmaking initiatives that foster systemic change to restore ocean health.
Antonia grew up by the ocean on the south shore of Boston where she spent her summers at the local beach cleaning up trash and lifeguarding. She first joined 11th Hour Racing as a Grantmaking and Research Intern the summer before her senior year at Middlebury College. She earned a degree in Environmental Policy and Biology while spending three years on the Student Government Association’s Environmental Sustainability Committee, advocating for campus-wide sustainability initiatives.
Her passion for marine conservation was deepened through two semesters studying abroad in the Caribbean — first at The Island School in the Bahamas and later with the School for Field Studies in The Turks and Caicos Islands. These experiential learning experiences strengthened her commitment to restoring ocean health as a key strategy for mitigating climate change.
Antonia also gained invaluable experience interning at the New England Aquarium, where she contributed to educational outreach and marine mammal research.
Antonia is passionate about running, loves al wildlife, and enjoys hiking and skiing in Vermont.
