Tyler Schoeppner is the Data Visualization Specialist at 11th Hour Racing, working to create meaningful impacts with ocean data using immersive interactive visuals. His interests lie in using new technologies to promote storytelling with data to make sustainability more tangible to the public. Tyler is a recent graduate of the MIT Media Lab where he worked on various 3D display and immersive interaction technologies. He earned a M.S. in Photonics from Friedrich-Schiller Universitat and a B.S in Engineering Physics from the Ohio State University.
Tyler is an avid rock climber. While in college, he actively volunteered as a climbing guide to lead new climbers and teach them “Leave No Trace” outdoor ethics.
